PRAGUE

ESPAÑOL

  • I have been here twice, 3 days in November 2012 and 2 days in March 2016.
  • Number of recommended days: at least 2.
  • My score: between 4/5 and 5/5.

Prague is one of those few cities where any way you go all the streets are nice. That’s what makes it special, not its most popular areas, which however are also magnificent. The good thing about Prague is that you can go two kilometers away from the main square and the streets are still beautiful, and far less crowded. It is an excellent mix of medieval, Renaissance and Gothic architecture, with buildings of various colors that do not clash. More than once I have thought ’if they know how to built cities this well, why don’t they do it more often?’ I find it hard to write this introduction because when I think about the city, it just comes to my mind how beautiful it is.

So let’s look at some other aspects: one is that it can be very expensive or very cheap. Czech Republic is still a cheap country within Europe but, although prices are very inflated for tourists, a Czech do not pay what we are asked for a rental or for lunch at a restaurant; if you search a bit, it can be even cheaper. There are a lot of people, that cannot be fixed, and no wonder, since I’ve been back twice and would not mind repeating, so in short, I think it’s one of the best destinations in Europe.
