  • My rating: 5/5.

I like to joke about I’m already half New Yorker. Obviosly I’m not, but I still consider I know this city enough to guide you in here. Although it sounds cliché, New York is one of the best destinations to travel. I’ve been to 54 countries and personally, I love New York. It’s in my top 10, and I’m not the only one who thinks like that: for years, one of the 10 most visited cities in the world, although if the number of days that each visitor spends in each destination would be considered, probably none of them could snatch the number one. Cities like London, Bangkok and Singapore outnumber New York in visitors, but it’s as difficult to find tourists who spend 5 or more days in those places, as find tourists going to New York for 5 or less days.

Has some of the most famous skyscrapers and park in the world, some of the most highly regarded museums, such a variety of food that you can take a different type everyday without leaving the neighborhood where you are, and also people of all kinds, by the way much more friendly and interesting than you might expect.

Not everything is good. New York is dirty; trash bags are placed on the sidewalk and rats and cockroaches have a field day. It’s too much crowded and there is too much traffic, and is a very very expensive city to live. And yet, only those travelers who hate the cities would feel displeased.

Not everything is the Statue of Liberty or the Empire State. New York is not just to visit, is to enjoy it and soaking up its spirit.
