BOSTON

ESPAÑOL

  • I was here: from July 21st to 23rd, 2017. On the third attempt.
  • Number of days recommended: I think 2 are enough.
  • My score: 3/5.

The first time I went to New York I decided to go on a day trip, but after returning from Washington DC I got lazy, considering the 4 hours bus each way. The second time I had plenty of time; I said to myself “I’ll go anytime, I’ll go anytime…” and in the end I did not go. This time my return to the American continent went through Boston, so there was no excuse, and after so long waiting… the truth is that in the end it was not so much, but that does not mean it was not nice.

Boston is a pleasant city, very well organized, dynamic, oriented to leisure and outdoor activities during good weather months (about six a year), with many parks, wide avenues, carefully restored and preserved edifices, with a mixture of old and new that does not clash and above all, the living chronicle of the United States, a country that originated in this city, which boasts of it proudly at every step, every statue, every historic building. Together with the Independence Hall in Philadelphia, it is probably the most patriotic place for a national tourist. For foreigners, maybe there’s too much information, but as long as it is culture, it’s welcome.
