- Al was here in: February 2011. Wear warm clothes, althoug is in the desert and is pretty south, it snows in winter.
- Number of days: 5 very intense days, I recommend at least 7.
- My score: 5/5
It is in my opinion, the state with the most interesting nature of the, also in my opinion, country with the second most interesting nature (the first would be Australia, but to be fair, I know much more Australia than United States). That’s why by now is one of the few states that I have visited for this reason, and a place where I think I should go back, because I missed less famous but equally important sites, particularly Sedona, the Vermillion Cliffs National Monument and the Rainbow Bridge (which is in Utah, but is usually accessed from Arizona). I’m sure the forests, lakes and mountains of the Rockies are among the best ones in the world, but the geology of Arizona is hard to find elsewhere. One piece of advice, rent a car even if you are a solo traveller, is more useful and almost cheaper than public transport.
