THE TROPICAL FOREST OF SPAIN

ESPAÑOL

  • I was here in: May 2012
  • Number of days: 4
  • My Rating: 4/5

La Gomera is a jewel of nature, little known by the Spanish themselves. Although it lacks impressive volcanoes, it has some unique natural wonders in Spain. One of them are the forests of Laurisilva, a type of rainforest. In Spain they exist only in the Canary Islands. The forest in la Gomera is the largest, located in the Garajonay National Park. Another one are The Organs, an impressive cliff formed by volcanic columns. To properly appreciate the natural beauty of La Gomera, I recommend spending at least 3 days.
