The capital of Qatar did not do its homework in terms of becoming an ultramodern metropolis like its neighbors Abu Dhabi and Dubai, and even today it happens to be a problem to it. Much will have to strive to be at the same level as these in terms of tourism in coming years, with or without the world soccer cup. It’s been almost 6 years of my visit and there is little to add to a very well-considered museum and a promenade that ends in an area with skyscrapers, each one more extravagant than the next.
