I think that after 3 months traveling through Japan I know it better than many Japanese, and I can say that the Takachiho Gorge is, within the harsh competition of this country, the most precious, bucolic and idyllic place in Japan, and maybe in the whole world as far as I have seen. And at the same time, unknown to the outside world; all those present were Japanese or foreign residents, except me.
